If you have a WordPress website you are aware that there are hundreds of plugins that can be installed on your site. Anything that you might need on your site, there is more than likely a plugin that can do it – I share a WordPress plugin for social media, one for backing up your site and last but not least a plugin for your website SEO .

3 Must-Have WordPress Plugins

With an ever-growing plugin list, here are my three favourite free WordPress Plugins:

Yoast SEO

Is a WordPress plugin for SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) it makes working on your website SEO easy. On the free version, you can input the selection of 1 keyword and edit the metadata description. Yoast SEO will also highlight problems and give you tips to fix them such as not having enough text. It also scores your readability. A great feature is that you can edit the picture that is shared on social media links.

Instagram Feed

I love Instagram! It’s only fitting that this Social Media WordPress plugin called Instagram Feed has made this list as you can now have your Instagram feed on your site too. It’s easy to setup and you can customise the view, image size, follow button, include your bio and choose how many pictures you want displayed. Take a peek at my homepage to preview it in use.

Updraft Plus

The last on the list is super important. In the event, an update goes wrong or you delete something by accident, you’ll be thankful you have Updraft installed an amazing free WordPress backup plugin. You can set up a backup schedule to go straight to google drive which means you have it backed up externally and can easily restore your site if necessary. It is always a good idea to have a backup and this is a free plugin too.

Remember it’s important to go through and regularly update your WordPress site and plugins to make sure that your site is performing at its best. If you want to outsource your website maintenance, VAMOS by CR can help!

So, there you have it – my 3 must have WordPress plugins. Are there any that you use which you think should be on the list?
